The New Chevrolet Silverado Has Now Arrived at Bruce GM
July 23 2019, Zach MacMillan
The new 2020 Chevy Silverado High Country has arrived! The new Silverado series includes up to 5 trim models each with their own changes and improvements.
Starting with compelling updates to the gasoline and diesel powertrains. Last year’s 6.0 liter gasoline V8 has now been updated to a 6.6 liter gasoline V8 that generates 401 horsepower, and a class-leading 464 ft-lb of torque. It’s still a 6-speed automatic but has an extra 84 ft-lb of torque bridging the gaps between shifts to make up for it.
The optional 6.6 liter V8 Duramax diesel engine on the other hand, generates 445 horsepower and 910 ft-lb of torque. The 6-speed automatic has been replaced with a new Allison 10-speed automatic, which allows the engine to be more effective due to the use of smaller rpm steps between shifts.
The 2020 Silverado also has many different features that are not available to competitors 2019 models. These features include: Allison 10-speed diesel transmission, Factory-integrated engine-driven Power Take Off, Automatic 2-speed transfer case, Power Up/Power Down Tailgate, BedStep cargo box-integrated side steps, 120V power outlet in the bed, Head-Up Display, and Class-leading 15 camera views including a transparent trailer.
This 2020 Silverado is going to be one of a kind - come down to Bruce GM to test drive one of the new Silverado models, you won’t be disappointed!
